iPhone 4 is the Windows 7 of Apple

According to Microsoft

Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system is easily the best OS ever produced by the company - the software giant has claimed that Apple's latest offering, the iPhone 4 is quite like Windows 7 - a triumph.

Speaking at the company's Worldwide Partner Conference, COO Kevin Turner compared the iPhone 4 to the not-so-popular Windows Vista and told audience members not to worry about iPhone 4-esque issues happening with Windows Phone 7. "One of the things I want to make sure you know today is that you're going to be able to use a Windows Phone 7 and not have to worry about how you're holding it to make a phone call," he is quoted as saying. He later added, "It looks like the iPhone 4 might be their Vista, and I'm okay with that."

Here's the exact rundown according to Apple - the battery offers talk time of over 7 hours, Browsing over 3G for 6 hours, video for 10 hours, music for 40 hours and stand by for 300 hours. The iPhone 4 has a 3.5-inch multitouch screen with a 'retina display' that has a resolution of 960?×?640 pixels. Four times the iPhone 3GS. It has a 800-to-1 contrast ratio, again four times better than the 3GS. 3D text and graphics would look sharper and the iPhone 4 will run all the latest games on the highest graphic bar.

But here's the biggie - the iPhone 4 has a 5 megapixel camera which also has a LED-based flash, which works both for photographs and video. There is also a front facing camera which would come in handy for video conferencing. Though the new gadget can use both cameras for video calling. And it supports 720p high definition. Then there is a Gyroscope which can track movement with a very high precision, and can detect pitch, roll, and yaw. Also included is an additional microphone on the top used for noise cancelation. The new iPhone 4 comes with iOS 4 and supports multitasking. The iPhone 4 will be available in black or white on June 24, and will cost $199 and $299 for 16 and 32GB in the US. Rest assured, it would cost an arm and a leg when it arrives in India later this year.
